Enid Blyton was an English author. She was born on August 11, 1897 in London.
She produced many stories, poems, articles and educational books for children.
Her first piece of published work was a poem when she was 14, in a children’s magazine. From 1924 Blyton was able to give up her teaching job and focus on writing full time. Between 1924 and 1965 she wrote well over 600 children’s books.
Popular series by Blyton include: ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’, ‘ The Secret Seven’, ‘Noddy’ and ‘The Famous Five’.
She passed away on November 28, 1968.
